With Thailand being more than 95% Buddhist, pretty much every home/business/building has a “spirit house” on the property somewhere, believed to shelter the spirits that "own" the land there. They are believed to bring fortune and protection to the people who live or work there. Not surprisingly, Yuyie’s mom’s land where she lives has always had one on it. But not anymore! Once Yuyie’s mom put her faith in Jesus and prayed to follow Him earlier this year, she went out on her own accord and tore down the spirit house on her land - the very thing that is so sacred to Thai Buddhists - thus demonstrating how she now is serving and trusting in her Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, the only One worthy of our worship!
